Il Camping Motel nasce nel 1954 da un'idea del Signor Foscolo Ravaldini Senior, coadiuvato dall'infaticabile moglie Gardini Ernesta e dai figli. E' sicuramente uno dei primi campeggi che allora sorsero sulla Costa Adriatica.Nel lontano 1954, sulla Riviera Adriatica, oltre al Motel erano insediati: il Camping NSU di Lido di Jesolo a gestione Tedesca e il "FONTANELLE" di Riccione.
Il Camping Motel sorse con una connotazione ben definita, per i tempi di allora: Ampi viali, piazzole delimitate, forte alberatura, un rilevante numero di servizi igienici divisi fra Maschietti e Femminucce, specifici per l'utilizzo dei piccoli ospiti, illuminato, parcheggi moto ed auto decentrati, ante e self-services, gelateria, mini-mercato, Motel e spiaggia privata.
Nel 1954 il mezzo di locomozione utilizzato era la motocicletta Horex - Jawa - Puch - NSU - BMW - Northon - Mettchless, etc. Solo in seguito apparvero le quattro ruote - Alexander -Gogomobil - Messerschmitt - Isotta - Borgward, ecc. Il massimo dell'equipaggiamento era costituito dalla mitica tenda Canadese, per pochi con catino e doppio telo, e per cucinare si usava la spiritiera o le tavolette di mota; gli ospiti in prevalenza Nordici e solo rari giovani italiani. Al mare non esisteva l'ombrellone, ma la Tenda ed il capanno in legno con ancora le caratteristiche dune di sabbia.Il Camping Motel nasce a Cesenatico, città di mare.
Superficie: 30.000 mq, a 500 mt dal centro di Cesenatico e 300 mt. dal mare.

Camping Motel was founded on 1954 from an idea of Foscolo Ravaldini Senior together with his indefatigable wife Gardini Ernesta and his children.
It's surely one of the earliest campings that rose along the Adriatic coast; there, in 1954, we found also the NSU Camping ( Lido di Jesolo) - German management - and the "Fontanelle" (Riccione).
The Camping Motel was founded with very particular features for that time: large avenues, delimited pitches, lots of trees, distinct bathrooms for men and women, suited for being used also by children , lightened; equipped with car and motorbike parks, restaurant and self-services, bar, ice cream shop, mini-market, motel and private beach. In 1954 the main means of transport was the motorbikes: Horex, Jawa, Puch, NSU, BMW, Northon, Mettchless, etc. Only later the first cars appeared: Alexander, Gogomobil, Messerschmitt, Isotta, Borgward, etc.
The best equipment was the famous Ridge Tent; having basin and double cloth was considered as a privilege. People cooked using the spirit stove or mud tablets. Most of the tourists came from Northern Countries and there were only a few Italian people. On the beach we found tents, wooden boxes and, the typical sand-dunes but no beach umbrellas.Camping Motel was born in Cesenatico: a city on the sea.
